About Us:

Huxta Environmental is a small environmental consulting firm out of southeastern Pennsylvania specializing in assessing and solving hydrogeologic and environmental challenges. The firm currently consists of a single professional looking to bring in team members who want to work collaboratively to provide the highest quality environmental consulting services.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated geologist, engineer, or geoscientist to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrogeology and preferably experience in conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments and working in the PADEP Act 2 Program. The position includes a mix of office work and fieldwork. Office work can be conducted remotely. Responsibilities will include:

Conducting Phase I and II ESAs in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Delaware
Performing soil, groundwater, surface water, soil gas, and indoor air sampling in support of project needs.
Analyze geologic and analytical data. Preparation of logs, tables, and maps depicting this data.
Preparation of detailed reports, including site conceptual models, conclusions, and recommendations.
Performing hydrogeologic assessments including conducting research, performing pump tests, and analyzing data in evaluating an aquifers ability to produce a desired quantity of water and obtain required permits and dockets for water withdrawals.
Collaborate with team members and clients to develop and implement effective solutions to hydrogeologic and environmental challenges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in geology, environmental engineering, or environmental science.
Strong understanding of hydrogeologic and environmental systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Self motivated.
Previous experience in consulting or related field is preferred.
